Abstract – The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of different types of men’s body form on the garment fitting. Men’s body structure is defined by chest, back, shoulders and waist.  Garment fitting depends on the body size of men and form.

Male body form is a general term to describe the variations of muscles and bones that can affect fit. Currently most men are not satisfied with their body form. From the point of view of garment fitting, it is the most important issue for the garment industry. The manufacturing of garment is based on the proportion of the human body structure and the form of the human body.

The garment maker has to fully understand the male body features and structures, in order to improve men’s garment fit. Dynamic and static features of the body have to be considered in the process. The basic function of garment fit is to help enhance external beauty of the male body. This research tries to make a detailed analysis and description on the issue.
