THE CHANGED USE OF ASSAMESE LANGUAGE IN THE NEO-MEDIA

Abstract

             The present age is an age of science and information technology.  The recent or new inventions of mass medium are serving as medium of communication today. Due to the effect of Globalization and through the various new means of medium or neo-media, people from all over the world have started to connect and communicate with each other which have brought a newness in the field of language, literature and culture. This newness has brought about a large tide of change in the Assamese language too. This discussion paper attempts to discuss and give a rough introduction on how recent inventions of mass media or neo-media have brought a change in the Assamese language.
