Abstract:

This research paper explores the intricate relationship between globalization and language policies in the educational landscape of Pakistan. As the forces of globalization continue to reshape the world, their impact on language planning in education becomes increasingly evident. The study delves into historical trends, current policies, and the challenges and opportunities that arise from the intersection of globalization and language policies in Pakistani education. The implementation of language policies in Pakistani education faces practical challenges. The availability of resources, teacher training, and infrastructure play a crucial role in ensuring effective policy implementation. Globalization, with its emphasis on certain languages for economic and academic success, can sometimes clash with the need to preserve local languages.
