Abstract:

The present study undertaken by the researcher specially to understand how education boost up the energy of female for empowering themselves. This descriptive study was made to find out the relationship between education and empowerment of tribal women. Another objective of the study was to find out the differences between various groups representing types of empowerment, marital status and class. Researcher used a well-structured questionnaire for data collection from 70 scheduled tribe empowered women from Kamrup(R) district of Assam selected by simple random sampling technique. Based on their opinion collected through survey method Pearson’s ‘coefficient of correlation’ and ‘t’ test were used as statistical techniques to find out the significant mean. Finding of the study revealed that there is a positive correlation between education and women empowerment. Educational qualification plays a very important role in empowering tribal female. Hence, it is a first and foremost importance to spread and raise the level of education among tribal women. This study also found that there is a significant difference in the empowerment of tribal women belonging to different types of class.
