Abstract

Performance of the students is one of the most significant outcome variables of teaching learning organizations. Different tools/ instruments are used to measure that variable. All these instruments are specifically context and time bound. Therefore, every endeavor to measure students’ performance need specific instrument. This article is based on process to develop instrument to measure students’ academic performance. Firstly, construct of academic performance was defined and items were generated with the help of literature. Content validity index was calculated to ensure the validity of instruments. Later on, this instrument was administered to 100 teachers of higher education institutions to assess the reliability of instrument. Exploratory factor analysis was run to finalize the instrument. Final instrument is comprised of 24 items covering four factors.
