Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine whether teaching research influences the intellectual production of teachers at the Universidad Nacional Hermilio Valdizán. A non-experimental, transactional explanatory design was used, for which the sample was represented by 211 teachers who began academic work from 2010 to 2019, who were given a questionnaire validated by experts, it is observed that the proportion of intellectual property publications between teachers who do not conduct research (f = 9) and teachers who do conduct research (f = 72). However, the teachers who do research have a greater number of publications, and from this, it is concluded that there is a significant influence between the teachers who do research and their intellectual property publications, since the p_value 0.000 is less than the alpha value 0.05, and the calculated value of p_value 0.000 is less than the alpha value 0.05, and the calculated value of p_value 0.000 is less than the alpha value 0.05.05, and the calculated value of X^2 175.41 is greater than the critical value of Table X^2 3.84, therefore, the alternative hypothesis is accepted.
