Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the prevalence and main causes of bullying in state secondary schools in the city of Pucallpa, district of Callería 2019. The population consisted of 11 secondary schools, with a probability sample of 2,788 students. A survey with closed questions and the Cisneros Self-Test of School Bullying 2006 (Cisneros Self-Test) were applied, which served as a contrast.  The results indicate that there is a prevalence of bullying of 52.94% and the main causes of bullying are, in first place, physical appearance, with 29.70% of the students; the second cause is racial appearance with 26.57% of the students and the third cause is sexual orientation with 18.58% of the students as the main cause. It is concluded that there is a prevalence of bullying for different causes in secondary school students of state educational institutions in the city of Pucallpa, district of Callería in the year 2022.
