Abstract

The present study aims to explore and identify the factors which act as a catalyst for stress among central reserve police force (CRPF) personnel and help them in handling stressful situations effectively. The study utilizes a semi-structured questionnaire and descriptive statistics in this regard. This paper identifies three key factors i.e. individual, organizational and environmental factors as crucial determinants of stress among CRPF personnel.  It also emphasizes its countermeasures, their efficiency and the necessity of carrying out periodic self-assessment among CRPF personnel to mitigate stress and provide solutions to overcome it. The paper provides useful suggestions to employers, government bodies and organizations in managing the mental health of employees, especially those working in stressful environments.
